Le Caveau du Palais: Reviews & Ratings
A lovely, quiet restaurant on Place Dauphine. A somewhat classic menu with very good food and impeccable service, also less expensive than dinner for 4 in Manhattan.
Very friendly staff. Every dish was prepared with great care and quality. The best-prepared food we had during our entire time in Paris, across all the restaurants we visited.
Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a most delicious meal at Le Caveau du Palais. It's November 1st and most of the city is celebrating La Toussaint, or All Saints Day. While strolling through the city, I happend upon this quaint little restaurant tucked away in a quiet little park off the main streets. The smells beckoned me so I stopped for a cappuccino. The special, a pork loin dish with dauphinoise potatoes sat upon a bed of spiced mustard cream and a basket of soft bread with a crunchy crust called to me. Thirty minutes later, I sat back with an empty plate wiped shiny clean with the delicious bread. I've been in paris for 5 days and I can unequivocally say that this was the best meal I've taken thus far. I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant for the exquisite food, friendly service and very good price.
